The publication "Recommendations for sample selection, collection and preparation for NMR-based metabolomics studies of blood" led by Dr. Abdul-Hamid Emwas (KAUST) with Prof. Dr. Helena Zacharias as co-author has been recognized as the Runner-up for the Best Review Award in Metabolomics — one of the leading journals in the field.
