2025-12-18: Automotive Health Study 2025: Health Technologies Enhance Road Safety

As a leading safety expert, TÜV NORD supports the Vision Zero initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), which aims to reduce road fatalities by 40 percent by 2030. In cooperation with the Innovationen Institut, TÜV NORD conducted the Automotive Health Study 2025. The study explores how in-vehicle health assistance systems can improve road safety.

Using sensors integrated into the steering wheel, seat belt, seat, and vehicle interior, as well as data from smartwatches, these systems enable a comprehensive real-time assessment of drivers’ health status. The findings highlight new opportunities to enhance traffic safety and significantly reduce serious injuries.
