Summary
In response to the emerging post 2015 development agenda, WHO has recently expanded its approach to the social determinants of health, which acknowledges the impact of the environment on human health. In parallel policy development and implementation for transforming and scaling up of health professionals' education and training will require that public health, the environment and social determinants of health be addressed in a consistent and coherent manner. This project will build on the systematic review of e-learning from the WHO and Imperial College London to develop an competences based eBook on 'Public Health, Environmental and Social Determinants of Health' to support transformative health professionals' education and training.
